I once had the location of a village that was razed to the ground at the SS retreated across France, as I remember the populas was rounded up into the church and torched. all I know is that it is N W of (I think) Angers. I know the village was never rebuilt and is kept as a war Museum.

Can any one help as I am off touring France in about 3 weeks.
Much appreciated.

We visited orador sur glane for the second time this year, yes it is very thought provoking. we bought a dvd of the history of the event which has english subtitles,
we found it very good, although it may not suite some people. There is a nice aire there which we have stayed on, its well worth a visit.
