Ok so I'd love a working one however if I can find and dismantle a few broken ones I might just be able to make one good working one out of them. So when yours dies please send it to me instead of binning it, Will happily pay the postage.

Hello Roger, Just wondering if you know that you can download Kindle for pc. Just go to google. As long as you have Xp Vista or windows 7. No problem. Cheers Ed.

last price I saw quoted was £70, thats inflation for you, hee hee
and I assume that only applies to the original purchaser.

Thanks I have that, but not as battery efficient as a stand alone kindle and nor does it have free 3g connectability when abroad.

I unloaded the motorhome recently and found I was carrying half a hundredweight of books, just not economical at all, never mind looks like I'll not be going away for a while now anyway.

thanks everyone no longer required, as will probably be giving up travelling due to increased costs and lack of everyday transport.
