In September we stayed for three weeks parked on grass in a Brixham camp site. It rained and rained, especially at night. They had around a months rain in a few day’s so you can imagine it was quite boggy, I had moved the van forward after a few day’s, but, I did not move it again until the day we were due to go. After a few mild wheel spins in1st just lifting the foot off clutch, not revving, also reversing and trying again, and going nowhere slow. it meant we had to be towed out.

So not wanting to go through that again at anytime, I have decided to look at waffle boards. They look the business, but before this fool and his money part company, what are you opinion’s on waffle boards from http://www.suigeneris.co.uk/

I thought waffle boards were forums frequented by women.

Think you might be wasting your money. Think it will break as soon as you run a Moho on it on an unstable base.

The weight of the waffle boards troubles me. Though the milenco ones seem a possible bett.

Looks like I’m wrong.
I did speak with them before buying. I said I didn't want them to bridge ditches, just to help me get out of say soft sand. For my 3.5t van they told me the 25mm thick ones would be enough. But, I haven't had the opportunity to try them out yet! :)

i have a couple on my truck . bolted on the rear end makes a nice platform . but get up a mountain track can unbolt and as you wanted i can cross a narrow gully . even my mate in his 6,3 ton daf truck has been across mine . i bought mine at a landrover meeting in about 2009. very good in soft sand . but now try to avoid soft sand . can be very hard work just to get a few miles .
but waffle boards are great .have used them in real soft mud as well.
