We are off to France and Spain shortly and as sky subscribers we would like to use sky go on one of our devices. I've heard that not all vpn's work effectively with sky go so can anyone advise on this.

Try Pure VPN...a free trial before you set off would be useful......available bandwith while travelling would also be deciding factor.

HMA works fine with Sky Go.
But VPNs can be, as you say, hit and miss.
For example whilst one may work fine for "on demand" on a Sky box, "portable devices", it may not work on a Freesat box!

11yrs, but many years a tugger.
The chances are that wherever you are parked up the bandwidth will be poor, a couple or three sky going on the camp internet will do it in. Also good 4G usually appears only in large towns. Out in the sticks it will probably be a subpar 3G, so it is unlikely to work in a manner that makes watching it satisfactory. Also, I think you will trash your data supply, unless you have a super type non stop data contract. But then again, I could be wrong. :)
