I’ve a Victron SmartSolar MPPT controller in my system feeding a 100ah standard Lead / Acid Deep Cycle battery.

I noticed that my controller was dumping in 14.92V in absorption phase, which to me seems high; so.....

Q. What should be the max Voltage fed to a 12v Lead / Acid battery?

Yes normally 14.4v but it is temperature compensated so if like me you were at 6C today then 14.92 would have been fine as its 14.4v at 25C

I do have a SmartBatterySense in the system thus battery case temperature is taken into account, so that may well be the reason - with battery currently sitting at 10C.

Put the heating on in the van for a couple of hours if no change, change the settings on the regulator.
