As above. Vodafone devices do have a reputation for being difficult to unlock so good luck!

They do data only SIMs, I'm using one now and for use in Europe if you want a fast connection and lots of data they are a very good choice. Otherwise Three PAYG are very good.

As far as I can see, they only do rolling 30 day or 12 month contracts.

They do PAYG phone SIMs, but I haven't seen any PAYG 'data only' SIMs like three's 12 & 24 month versions.

Would be delighted to be proved wrong though, because Vodafone appear to offer better coverage in some areas & faster speeds abroad.

It appears you can get 'Big value bundle' PAYG SIMs with reasonable amounts of data. £10 for 6GB. It's not supposed to be a pure data SIM, but it'll work fine. I guess the downside is it's probably a 30 day top-up. But it's actually cheaper and more generous than their data contract SIMs!

Vodafone are selling a mifi device with a 15Gb data PAYG sim card valid for 90 days at £25 which can be topped up online, a good deal in my view........I got one!. Other data only PAYG sims are available but I think only valid for 30 days.

I think for a low data user its hard to beat 3. We have a 24gb data sim and it will last us the full 2 years easily so if you just want e-mail and a bit of browsing and use wifi where you can its way cheaper than a monthly contract. We use ours in an unlocked vodaphone mifi!!

Should be able to get it unlocked by Vodafone as these days once you have owned a device for 30 days they have to allow you to unlock it.

The way I read it, it was the SIM that was 'Big Bundle'. So the SIM is only available until 2nd October, but it should keep on going after that???

Have been using a data sim Vodafone in Europe for last two weeks
found in Germany on Vodafone some times only 2g , and it was in same location that it was 4G sometimes!!? On other networks in Belgium and also in France eg ProXI was 4G and worked well , so wondering if they cutback if you are roaming when demand is high in Germany ? Was using in Huawei to wifi network for laptop , if that makes sense :)

I read it as after the 2nd Oct it reverts to 2GB like all the offers they try to make them as confusing as possible hoping to such you in.
