Well I failed with a 3 dongle. I didn't do my homework, forgot, unlike you, switched on and Nothing. At least it saved me a fortune.

I'm sure I've see sites where they unlock the dongle to allow other SIMs. You may be in the same boat.

PAYG SIMs

Yes you can, just buy a PAYGo Sim and put it in should be easy.

Worked OK for me in Portugal and Spain earlier this year, worked well and was quite cheap it was costin about a Euro a day.

Hi all,

I have just had my 3 Hauwei 160G unlocked for £9.99 using eBay Seller: ynot-say-yes: Computing items on eBay.co.uk. It came with the Mobile Partner software already loaded on to it.
I sent the dongle by first class recorded delivery on the Monday, and I received it back via the same, on the Wednesday. Excellent service.
I can use it here in the UK or abroad using any sim card. I am not sure which is best for France though.

He also supplies those o2 iPhone sim cards at Link Removed if you don't want to go through ebay.

Cheers,

Jock.

Thanks Jim.

I was so pleased with the service that I asked the guy if I could pass on his details on Fun and Facts. He was more than happy for me to do so. :thumb:

TTFN,

Jock.

I am going to France and would like to know If I have an unlocked dongle (in the process of getting mine unlocked) do I just go into a shop and buy any PAYG sim card or does it have to specify internet access?
I have just had a thought - I have an iphone with a sim card (obviously) could I use this?

If you contact Vodafone and ask they will send you the unlocking code free of charge you have to give them the IMEI: number of the dongle the required software can be downloaded from their site.
