Vodafone Roaming Cap

Having used my unlimited plan in the past when in Spain I now understand that they cap data at 25gb a month.
My wife and I both have phones . One is unlimited the other is 10gb a month.
In the past the most we have jointly used when roaming is 69gb a month.
Vodafone have an offer of 20gb + 20gb free = 40gb a month at £20.
If we changed both phones to this plan it would be sufficient for our needs.
However I did have an online chat with a Vodafone advisor and they say that although the unlimited is capped, if you contact them when You have used your allowance they will migrate the plan and give you another 25gb and restart the plan at no cost.
Has anyone any experience of this ?

Had the same message on hubby's phone yesterday, he's got unlimited everything for £26 a month (1 year contract) with cashback which brings it down to £15 a month. Fortunately we don't use that much when away so 25gb a month is fine for us but I know some full-timers won't be happy as they were assure they wouldn't have a cap on their usage, either gb per month, or number of months.

I have the 50gb Vodafone deal which is capped at 50gb everywhere, it's a 30 day contract so you could switch to the unlimited deal while in the UK then to the 50gb deal when away, that was my plan, but in reality, I don't bother, life's too short.

it is only the unlimited contracts are capped all other vodafone contracts are able to use ALL of their UK data allowance in the EU.

It is always worth asking on here before signing up to any data deal as a 'use abroad' criteria is never included on any of the websites as roaming is taken for granted (well for 12 months). A number of warnings were posted on here when Vodafone 'upgraded' their packages from 100Gb to 'Unlimited'.

We use it at home though instead of having any broadband or landline so that’s why we have an unlimited plan. Will not be a problem as we have tv on the pitch for the next two months, just got to train the wife to stop watching craft videos on Facebook.

Nothing to do with Vote.They were capping unlimited data 3 months ago and it's rather obvious why..They would be losing money allowing it overseas.BUSBY.

Prior to the unlimited ``gb" download, Voda was one of the only two that allowed full use of allowance whilst roaming (Voda and O2). Now that they introduced the 25 gb on an unlimited usage package its useless.
We are with O2, I have 100gb per month for £25. We are full time and use all our allowance when we are roaming without any restriction. Just home from Spain with a few gb left over for this month. Many companies are going over to unlimited contracts (gb) with limits on 'Fare use abroad' so be carful if you are a roaming monster (like us)
I know that there are reports that O2 do not stop the amount of gb whilst roaming under 'Fare usage' but apparently slow down the band width. As a O2 user using 100gb per month roaming, I have never encountered any difficulties
So have a look at O2 and make your own mind up.
