It seems that most of the UK are heading for the South West this weekend, you will have seen on the news that Cornwall has had a very large spike of Covid infections. We need you to spend money and enjoy the scenery here. BUT please do not relax as regards taking precautions when down here. Keep washing hands etc and wear your mask when in large crowds.

YOU MAY BE ON HOLIDAY BUT DON’T TAKE A HOLIDAY ON TAKING PRECAUTIONS

Completely agree!! We love your part of the world but have stayed away this year because we knew it would be crazy busy and we love Cornwall when it's quieter. Looking forward to visiting when we get our new wheels!! Hope people are responsible and enjoy Cornwall safely.

We are here. Doing just that👍👍👍

Good luck we don’t bother going that way at all this time of year to many folk about😊

Must admit it's very busy down here , we are staying home , till kids go back to school.

Just came back from Sidmouth yesterday, we couldn't believe how busy it was. It took us forever to get the up M5 from Jct30 to Jct18a to the M49 link to the M4 we rarely got above 3rd gear, but the traffic going the opposite direction was even heavier. 🤪

Falmouth beach today at lunchtime, the only time I go out on a Saturday as it’s change over time.. out of holiday accommodation at 10am and not allowed in from 2pm… always quiet with tourists then..😎

The more the merrier! Keep the money circulating within the UK economy. On way back from Alderny tomorrow, early on a rising tide, sea state and weather looking perfect and then a short drift at the Eddystone to stock up for some supper.
Never seen so many cruiseships in the Wesern Approaches headland hopping around the South Coast!

It does amuse me because I came across this in Wales last month - a misguided feeling that the virus would not have reached these regions without tourists.

Get real F.FS

We had to travel to D&C the other week for our annual pilgrimage to Nicky's family and all I'll say now is that I'm pleased the trip is only once a year.

I see no appeal to D&C in the summer months, just congestion, frustration and too many people.

Been to Looe, busy but not overbearing. Fowey, pretty busy. Polperro, busy. Polzeath was rammed😱
We have been able to park our toad ok. Not really happy with frequenting the busier pubs even outside. Never inside.
Roads are not too bad but that might change tomorrow as people leave. We are moving on to Porth on Weds. We will probably avoid Newquay unless we can locate some hazmat suits👎🤭

Crossed over the A30 at Scorrier about 11.15 / 30?? Can't remember, but somewhere around that time, very quiet! was very surprised!
