If anyone is thinking of visiting Chester and staying overnight on the Roudee Car Park in the next week, it is shut for the Chester Races and the Roudee has a large Fairground on it, looks fun though.

started when I was 11 with my parents-forgot to stop!been real one since 1980!
Netherwood house http://www.netherwoodtouringsite.co.uk/ on the Whitchurch road is just outside in Waverton, bus stops outside for Chester about a £10 taxi ride back at night if you stay in town late. A 10 minute walk on the canal tow path to the Cheshire Cat pub for drinks and food and a bit of gongoozaling (looking at boats on the canal)
