Have you been to Bath? If not, then it's definitely worth a visit. Bath has been a wellbeing destination since Roman times. It has the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. It is bristling with beautiful honey-coloured Georgian architecture. The picture postcard Royal Crescent and majestic Circus are stunning. If that was not enough there are countless places to eat and drink.

If you would like to visit using your motorhome then Bath Waterside & Marina and Caravan Park might be the perfect site for you. It is a just 45 minute walk or 8 minute bus ride to Bath city center. The bus stop is just a few minutes walk from the site.

You can see our video of the site and a taster of Bath here:

Our son lives in Bath and we have stayed on that site 4 or 5 times.
It is in a good location but unfortunately that is where the good news ends.
When we were there last Sept, the toilets/showers were not clean.
The chemical disposal point was disgusting.
The grass looked as if it hadn't been cut for weeks.
It was taken over a few years ago and we were expecting some improvements, but unfortunately not.
It is a pity that the new owners don't take a bit more pride in it as it could be a fantastic site.
We haven't been there for a year, so it is possible that things have changed.
Bath however is a fantastic city to visit.

May be worth advising folk of the Emmision Control Zone. Has an affect on most motorhomes unless you approach from the west.
A very good point. I'll see if I can add it. Thank you.

Sadly for visitors the Comedy Walk has stopped for the winter...

hahaha we just arrived here at Bath marina & caravan park 2 hours ago, with torrential rain and thunderstorms so haven't had chance to venture out yet . :giggle: So can't comment on the park itself yet .

When or if, it stops raining, we would be interested in what you think about the site and Bath.

Stayed in June This year, visit No2.
It was ok, yes a little tired but clean and pleasant. Was only 30% full so nice and quiet. Location excellent, easy busses into city nearby pub for food, what’s not to like.
From a notice displayed it seems that the new owners have plans for expansion and development on adjacent land, to which The locals seem to be against. Hey ho what’s new..

Well what a disastrous start, just found out they put me on wrong pitch, the people who booked this pitch just turned up..one of the toilet/shower blocks is out of use due to faulty electrics, and the other one you cant get in the ladies at all as code doesnt work well the latch won't click back enough, so a lady has gone in the mens toilets for a shower :giggler: ..not a good start!
people moaning cos they were given no info as to where elsan point , bins etc are..

The lady at reception said they intend to expand and upgrade the facilities.

Just a little update ,I think that at £40 - £45 a night is very expensive considering the facilities need a thorough overall...you are paying for the location , it is in a good position for Bath easy bike ride in or bus close by...We have been refunded 1 nights stay due to their mistake of putting us on the wrong pitch and then making us move the next morning, would I come here again , no not unless the facilities were refurbished .

Don’t get me started…… :swear2:

I’ll just say, beware, part of the official HGV route passes through it …
I assume must motorhomes from 2017 onward are likely to be OK. Ours is 2017 and is Euro 6.

Stayed on the marina site a few years ago.Not a bad site as I recall ,but very close to Bath centre by bus.
I gather they are going to upgrade it so we might try it again next year. We certainly enjoyed wandering around Bath.

For us, the ability to get into Bath easily made it worth while.. £40 - £45 seems to be the norm these days 😔

It seems to have new owners now. So fingers crossed it will improve.

I've stayed here and there is also easy access to the Bristol - Bath cycle path
