I have the above helmet and forgot to bring the power supply away with me. Unfortunately it is not USB but a mains plug power supply with a small tubular connector on the end of the cable.
If you have one of these can you look on the power supply plug to see what the charging voltage is please.
I have with me a 12volt plug with a similar connector and variable output which does 4.5volt which I think is ok but don't want to blow it up or worse still blow the battery up. I need the Bluetooth to hear the TomTom directions.
For future use, has anybody found a USB cable with a suitable connector to use on this helmet.
Thanks for any help.

It seems no-one has replied so far, so this might be the next best opinion. You don't say what model of Viper helmet you have, but looking at their web site the charger seems to be the same for all of them. They do a 12 volt cigarette-lighter type charger with the right kind of plug. They are also offering free with some of their helmets a USB cigarette-lighter adaptor and wire, which is of course 5 volts.

I would guess that the 4.5 volt adaptor is worth a try. The electronics in the helmet might be very fussy about voltage, and decide not to do anything. On the other hand it might charge the helmet battery to 3/4 or maybe even full. I don't think It will cause any damage. If it was my helmet I'd try it, but I say again it's only a guess, so it's your call, not mine.

On the basis it almost certainly has a 3.7V - charge to 4.2V lithium battery that sounds a decent guess.

The main thing is not to wear the helmet whilst charging it.

Thanks guys, obviously not many Viper wearers on here. Thanks @autorouter for taking the trouble to look at their site.
I will try the 4.5 volt charger.

Just did a search and there are a few folk advertising a bluetooth charge lead for the various Viper bash hats
I would try Just Helmets on 01236 321 438
