Our Moho has large areas of silver/grey vinyl on the body and I'm really struggling to work out what to clean this with.

Most of the vinyl has mottled and gone matt and is covered in what looks like limescale from water marks.

Its only 4 years old, I used a layer of Collinite 476 a couple of years back and its deteriorated badly since then so I'm guessing I shouldn't have used this on vinyl.

I've tried using anything I can think of to clean this up with absolutely no success so far

Any help would be appreciated, current thought is to try a clay bar next ?
I've tried T cut, white spirit and acetone (all on small areas)

I’ve had exactly the same problem after polishing with autoglym. The only thing I’ve found effective so far was wd40. A bit of light elbow grease and dry off. It came up very well, and three weeks on it’s still good so am hopeful it’s not just disguised the polish marks.

Will try the wd40 - nothing else I have tried has worked so far - I also used Collinite on all the decals - but only the one on the rear panel that is really bad!

These are a couple of pics of the offending marks, please ignore the horizontal ones, they are the result of manoeuvring around some of Devon’s teeny lanes and we’re still away so not washed off yet.
I tried some WD40 but I was finding a lot of grey on the cloth, much more than I would expect so I stopped.
Look like a combination of limescale and rain residue all over.

Any help appreciated

Never use waxes or grinding compounds on any matt graphics.

You can try Isopropol alcohol and water for a restore job, 2:1

you will find loads of cheap isopropol now the pandemic has lessened and the country was flooded with it for home made hand gel

Finally got back up to the Moho after finding some isopropol alcohol, tried various mixtures but with no luck.

Not sure whats next, asking on Carthago group it seems some have removed all the graphics which seems a bit extreme but perhaps I just need to live with it unless theres any more suggestions ??

Thanks all for your input

I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
I have had some success with Mur but my decals are not mottled.

My Carthago is the same. The water runs off the roof where the roof bars end near the front and stains down the side.
It's really frustrating as I like to keep the van looking good.
Like you I’ve tried just about everything.

Richard.
