Yep, bought me a sarsons flip lid vinegar bottle for putting on my jockeys, love a bit of vinegar on chips me.
ANyway, the bloody bottle tipped and flipped the lid when driving so about 1/4 pint of vinegar in my top cupboard mopped up.

HAve air dried it the past few days but the smell is still there.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the vinegar smell from the wooden cupbard floor. :notworthy:

We get the small Tesco branded ones. They have a sprinkler and screw lid.
Just for future reference 😁

Hire an ozone generator. I'm not 100% sure it will work with vinegar but worked amazingly with smoke smell in out kitchen (had to take my wife to hospital when she cut herself, did not know there were 6 slices of toast under the grill). Absolutely amazing piece of kit but you don't want to be in the van when it's running.

edit: word...

Rub the area with a garlic glove. You’re welcome 😊

This sounds a bit drastic but last week I used an Odour Bomb purchased from Amazon in wife's recently purchased new car that was a 'smokers car' and was amazed at what it could successfully tackle, methinks any food should be removed first, would recommend the melon !!!!!!!!!!!

Add a bit of battered cod. Leave for a week. Remove and microwave for two hours before consuming.

I second the bicarb of Soda idea, if it can remove the bad odour smell of heavily used trainers then it will easily tackle the smell of vinegar.
Just place some loose on saucers or the like, close the cupboard and leave it to do its work.
Funny thing is I have literally just had a knock on the door as the 2x5 ltrs of White wine vinegar has just arrived from Amazon to clean out my fresh water tank, and descale my hot water boiler, Hope I dont spill it, wish me luck.

Try getting citric acid in powder form next time. Easier to cart around, and it is the active ingredient in vinegar . Also doesn't smell like vinegar does.

Pour soured Milk over the affected area

You not notice the vinegar again

Funnily enough Gromett this wine vinegar stuff I have bought is for general de-scaling and general cleaning purposes, it has lemon flavouring also to take the smell off the vinegar. I will report back on how it turns out for cleaning the van tanks & pipes, but although I have high hopes on that side, I dont think I will pour it over my Fish & Chips somehow.
Best wishes to you, Hope you caught The Brian Cox Space race programme on BBC over the bank holiday, recommend viewing, cant wait for next episode.
