No serious injury's according to the owner

It reads "Road Car" above the windscreen?????? Any ideas?????

If it was pulled back onto its wheels carefully, it could be recovered.

I suspect not, it looks like there are wrinkles in the roof, and whilst a liberal coating of T-Cut might get out the road rash on the down side, I'll bet there is one hell of a dent on the top side where it was hit and knocked over.
Pity, as it looks like it hasn't been out of the showroom for more than a couple of weeks

Still there will be enough bits left over for someone to make a very nice home built PVC.

I wonder who makes the small solar panels that are fitted lengthways? Our van has a similar layout and I want to put some solar panels next to our roof vents too.

Mark and Mindy your post made me smile. Lol. Someone posts a photo of a motorhome on it's side and everyone is going on about the damage.... but you think, ooooh. I like the solar panels.....and I think, oooh, he could block off all the mice entrances underneath whilst it's sideways on.

:). :) Shows how we are all different.

Looks fairly new going by the pristine underside ?

I did have a look under our van yesterday
It has the two hatches on the waste tank as well i hadn't noticed before
I knelt down to look rather than put it on it's side though
Are these the removable cleaning hatches for the waste tank?

Can't quite work out how he ended side on in that street? As in if we has driving left to right across the junction as seen in the 2nd picture, to end up there he would have to roll over on the roof and back down again and roof looks pretty clean from damage?

Not sure either?
The report from the paper

An Audi driver drives over a red light in Ludwigsburg and collides with a mobile home. It skids and tips to the side. Both drivers are injured.
Ludwigsburg - An Audi driver collided with a mobile home in Ludwigsburg on Saturday afternoon when he drove through a red light. The motorhome will skid and tip over.
According to the police , the 72-year-old Audi driver drove down Hoferstraße in the direction of Martin-Luther-Straße at around 4 p.m. At the intersection with Martin-Luther-Strasse, he ignored the red traffic light and collided with a mobile home driving there. The motorhome skid and then tipped over.

The Audi drove a little longer on the sidewalk until it hit a parked BMW and came to a stop. The driver of the Audi and the 55-year-old driver of the mobile home were slightly injured in the accident.

When I was working in the new car compounds we used to call minor dents ten bob knock outs. Any thing bigger than a fifty pence piece had to go back to the factory rather than to the dealers.

Impressive use of the roof space, must be 400w+ of solar, satellite, and 3 roof vents in a pvc.

You can buy them on eBay ...anything from 20w upwards ....I'd guess those little ones are 40-50w panels and the two larger ones are 120w

I know I'm just a stupid old woman, but, having read the newspaper report and studying the photos, it seems to me that the car didn't simply 'knock it over'..... it says that the Moho went into a skid and then 'tipped over'. Could it possibly be that the amount of hardware on the roof raised the centre of gravity enough to have made it more vulnerable to that sort of accident?

So that's where they put the spare wheel . . . .

It's at times like that you realise why a seat belt is quite a good idea.

Also, on a good quality, dry surface, the tyres will exert a huge amoount of grip, even sideways. combine that with a bit of sway and it doesn't take much to get a high sided vehicle to go over.

"At the intersection with Martin-Luther-Strasse,"

Come on you lot - own up! Who thought "Ooh that's nice, they named a road after the American civil rights leader"?:wasntme:

Well it does look like the Satellite Dish had maintained a good lock throughout!
As for righting it yep that's probably still driveable once fuel pump cutoff etc had been reset.

However if it had a full cassette toilet you might want to do that with the windows open.
