I don't see a problem I connect to my BMV700 on both my phone & tablet, obviously you can only connect to one device at a time.

I've tried to install the app on my girlfriend's phone and it says I must uninstall the app on my phone ?

It won't let me download the app on to my girlfriend's phone unless I uninstall off mine.
Could it be because we're on different networks ?

What network your on should not matter as the app is standalone and connected to your devices via Bluetooth and not reliant on a phone network connection.
My tablet is cellular and the app worked fine when I had a sim in it and at present I have removed the sim to use in another device. Both were on different phone networks.

It is the Victron Connect app that your trying to load ?
