I've installed a Victron 100/30 smartsolar this morning with a 120w solar panel coming into it.

I'm really not technically minded as far as data is concerned, but I'm thinking that although the sun isn't out, this reading on the victron app looks like the solar panel isn't working properly, or am I wrong?

It's most likely fine as your battery is at 14.35v it's most likely fully charged, what battery is it? put a big load on and see what happens.

If you look further down the screen it most likely says "float"

Looks fine to me. Your battery is fully charged. As funfair says, tomorrow, mid morning, turn on everything in the van, and watch it go from Float to Bulk, and the watts ramp up accordingly.

yep, its fine dont worry

do as above

Thank you chaps, much appreciated.

Not a clue what this means but I think it looks good? Any replies please in very easy non tech language!

Looks like everything is working fine. The bottom part of each bar represents the proportion of time bulk charging, the middle band Absorption, and the top band Float charging. If you do a long press on one of the bars it will actually provide times in hours and minutes for each of these phases

Looks like that until yesterday you were not using the van, so basically only had to produce 10 or 20 wH to maintain the battery, and yesterday and today you've been using the van, created demand for power, and the solar has stepped up and provided upto 160wH.

Not quite sure what dragged your battery down to a minimum of 12.12v two days ago, but probably a short duration high demand for power that pulled the terminal voltage down, probably the water pump while you primed the system before using the van.

Thanks you so much. And yes I primed the pump when I got to the set up

Is your middle name Sherlock? :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Make sure you wipe down the solar panel on a regular basis.
My input often doubles afterwards
I have a great way of balancing out of the sky light and can reach all but a 2 inch corner!

You need a truck screen wiper!
It comes with a foot long handle which means you can lean out of the roof skylight and get to all corners!
Yes!!! I always need to buy a gadget and this is a great idea
