Put this down to old age but I have fitted a Vicron non isolated unit with no problems but try as I might I cannot set up the values in the app, I need to set to Lead acid but no option is shown, Do I have to put in the maximum amps of the batteries, (how?). I have asked the supplier and whilst they have sent me lots of what it should look like I cannot find any lead from one to the next. Please note I'm not tech savvy but usually blunder through

Have you set it up as "Charger" in the settings with the green jumper plug not plugged into the unit as per page 8 of the instruction manual ?

This should then give you access to the battery configuration in the app.

yes I started as charger, no green link, my main problem is there is no lead acid option in selection list, if I set to user defined, it just reverts to original list.

You should find FLA under the presets which means Flooded Lead Acid that's the one you should select.

Thanks, will try tomorrow

I have noticed that FLA preset is also not available in the MPPT battery selection choice as well, think you will need to set up using the user defined one.

I'm set up with lithium on our Victron MPPT's, but the factory default used to be the setup for lead-acid as I remember.

Hi I have tried to use user defined but it will not accept it, I have disconnected the unit and then opened app and set up with the exeption of battery capacity (not found window) and saved, reconnected battery Back to original problem STUMPED

I notice you mention battery capacity, there is no such setting on chargers, only on shunts. The amp settings it’s max amps charging, There should be victron presets suitable for 99% of all FLA on earth. Look in the manual for the presets values, and select the one more appropriate to the values you are after.
Give us some screen shots of what you try to do, and we’ll assist you.

Just looked on mine and I don't have a FLA option either 🤷‍♂️

Portland your old Hymers still going strong 👍 hope your keeping well.

But one of those presets will have values suitable for flooded, if you look in the manual, the first and second option will be pretty good for flooded.

Thanks, I wish I did know what I'm doing:rolleyes:

I have spoken with a guy at tiny build who assures me deep cycle 1 or 2 will be ok for L/A but what I'm doing is trying to go through the process of setting the B2B unit to the leisure batteries, the manual completely skips this because I assume it thinks you know how to do it.
The person at Climbingvan has sent screenshots to show what I should see but its nothing like what's on the screen or how to go through the process. I should have bought a steam powered model

OK, I have entered gel 2 and gone through from there app shows battery charging, can I see the amps input on app??. Secondly I thought these units go hot this one is cool

Don’t think you will see the amps in, unless you look on the shunt app. Getting hot guaranteed 100%, you haven’t worked it hard and long enough yet. My solar charger and B2B, today you could not touch them longer than 1-2 seconds. Both are toasty.

You only have the rotary switch function on MPPT,s bigger than 30amp so not sure if that make a difference
You can select presets in the app. I never use the rotary switch, even if it’s there.
