Vets at Bergues - handy for ferry and tunnel (1 Viewer)

We are just back from a couple of weeks in France and had to get the dog her vets checkup and worming pill before getting the Tunnel back.

Any Funsters looking for a vet could do worse than the one we found at Bergues. Not only is there a very pleasant free aire (page 422 in All the Aires France - no services though) but the town is very nice with loads of shops, bars etc.

The vets is on your walking route from the aire to the town, look out for the statue of a cow (see photo) and you have found the right place just behind. Best of all the staff speak very good English. Not cheap though at 41.60 euros.

We generally use her for convenience.
At this very moment, we're sitting in our van on the aire at Bergues - dog-worming appointment booked for 10am tomorrow.
Last year, we paid €36.40 for worming of a 22kg dog, including tablets.
Although not the cheapest, she's a very pleasant vet, who speaks perfect English, and who replies promptly to emails.

Buchy vets £8 euros for worming tablet and form filled out. So you are paying way over the top.

We paid 23€ in February at Buchy Vets & used our own tablet . We were advised that the fee was 23€ no matter if you had more than 1 dog.

Was very well organised & would use again, we parked in the nearby supermarket

Sounds very reasonable from my experience (last year e40 at Cancale)
