Hi,
i’m on the path to replace the vent in the kitchen area with a Maxxair Delux…I need a little advice on how to remove the current air vent without breaking the internal surround!

I’m not sure on the make or model of the old one I’m going to remove but here are a couple of photos.

the bit I’ve circled in red, there appears to be a hidden tag, not sure if there’s anywhere I should be pressing, inserting a tool of some type to release it…

any help much appreciated…

Found out how to do it, removed and on my way to fitting the Maxxair.

just incase anyone else has this problem, please see photo attached.

slip a flat knife in where the blue arrow is and GENTLY lift the plastic. A hidden tag will unseat itself and then you can lift the plastic bit out where the red ring is. Do this at all corners then with the two pieces off, the rest is obvious.
