May I ask some kind people who have MHs over 3500kg to look at their V5c and advise me what is entered at item 'J' 'Vehicle Category'. Some may have no entry there like I.

I would appreciate several replies to see if there is any difference between them, or to confirm one answer or a majority answer.

Thanks in advance.

Thnks to all of you who have replied.

I have sent PMs (Conversations) to 'DP+Jay', 'Zigisla', 'Jezport' and 'steveh57'

Obviously the majority of V5c are silent on this entry, but some have M1 as one would expect. I was surprised by pete992's entry of N2 because surely it is not a Goods vehicle.

Has anybody got M1 (Special Purpose), which is the legal definition for a Motor Caravan?

Thanks again.

I have owned a lot of motorhomes and not one single V5 said M1 special purpose. Even having M1 seems quite rare, as section J is generally blank. It seems vans uprated from new or with an engineers report may get M1 noted

I've just checked some of our previous MH/camper V5Cs which I still have scanned images of - 2010 Chausson Flash, Autocruise Accent, Globecar Familyscout and Globecar Campscout - none of them had anything against 'J'.
