Batteries suddenly went down the other night whilst watching tv, the reading on the panel was flashing yellow and 9.8. the following day we got back onto mains power and left it on for rest of day. the batteries were warm but not hot. they are completely cool now. However the readings on panel now are fluctuating between 14.5 and 14.8. The vechline its self has top light red flashing and the bottom 2 solid red. I cannot remember what they should be doing but I do not think this is right. The manual is also confusing . Anyone know what it should be or how to check it. The batteries are tandem 75 amp same make and seem ok. It has never been a problem but the heater fan was running on cold unknown to us and this is probably the reason they went flat.

I think the first thing to do is check the batteries to make sure they haven't been damaged. Once they have been on charge for several hours, you could disconnect the hookup and wait until dark/cover the solar panels so that they are not being charged. And switch off any loads. Then the batteries should settle to about 12.5 to 12.8V. If they do, then fine. If they go below that, then they have a problem that needs to be looked at.

Once you are happy that the batteries are OK, then we can think about the Vechline solar controller lights.

There's a previous thread that might be of interest.

The lower LED is for the 'Load' terminals. I'm guessing you have nothing connected to the load terminals (the rightmost pair). They are not used in a MH setup, all loads usually go direct to the leisure battery. So anything to do with the load, the LED and any switching etc, can be ignored. The load terminals are used for other applications, like automatic street lights, advertising signs, CCTV cameras etc.
