If you can take enough weight from the van, then you could add an axaim - which is the lightest of all cars at 750kg. You will have to add the weight of the towbar and towing equipment to the figures, so ideally would need a ton at least.

This does mean that you will always be borderline - and have to watch what you load/buy on your travels. It is the downside to tags I am afraid! That with the brake balancing issues when coming to MOT's made me get rid of tags and steer clear of them.

Look on the brightside - you had more than one of mine! That left me with 700kg towing weight.....which meant a small camping trailer was my max!!
