So there were a few vans parked up behind the beach at Bolnuevo, Puerto del Mazzaron, Murcia this morning.

Campsites around here appear to be mostly rammed. We managed to get into Camping Las Torres - by the skin of our teeth - an ACSI site, supposed to be E14 euro, but sign at reception says there was a printing error, and it's actually 16 euro. ;)

Still not complaining, free wi-fi and heated indoor pool, so not bad. Friendly staff too.

And the sun is out this afternoon and 20 degrees, so all is good with the world. (y)

Is that Malcolm Bolt in that 760 RMB ?

We were there 2 weeks ago. Fantastic rock formations.

(Ps before anyone shoots me down for parking at the base of the rocks, we actually stayed at the far end of the Carpark where it is not frowned upon, we only stopped for a few seconds here to take the pic early the following morning)

Have parked up there years ago before the apartments were built on top of the hill and before they extended the small bar at the end of the land in front of the mushrooms. We used to park up by the mushrooms and use a couple of small restaurants in the village before heading down to the end of the beach road and then going along the dirt road following the beach down as far as Playa Percheles. There used to be around 1000 vans parked up along that dirt road between Bolneuavo and Playa Percheles in winter years ago but times change. I almost bought one of the old fishermens houses on the beach in Bolneuavo for 7K but it was twenty years ago. They will be a bit more nowadays :(.
The original old campsite was washed out to sea years ago with several people killed. It was closed down and stood empty for years but they were building next door last time I was down there.

And the lovely Catherine, me old cock sparrow surely!(y)

Actually we are taking a short break between Grandchildren births. We only had a 7 week gap so decided to leave the van at home, fly and stay in an apartment. We are currently at Torremuelle (Playa Bonita), within walking distance of Fuengirola and Benalmadena.

Blimey Dave seven thousand pounds, twenty years ago. I always felt you were minted.

It was when I was just winding things down for retirement :).
The guy wanted 9 and I put the spanner on him and tightened him down to 7, I bought my first RV instead for 10 and the rest is history.
I dont know if you know those fishermans cottages but they are right on the beach and they used to drag the fishing boats up onto the beach in front of the houses. They have all now been extended and made into two story houses from single story cottages. Must be worth a bob or two now, unlike me .

Currently parked up st the other end of the bay at La Azohia.

Morning @grasscutter ,
I was thinking about you and your good lady yesterday evening when we were just down the road from you at Playa de El Mojón where there were 12 surfers, two canoeists and two paddle boarders riding the waves.

Due to inclement paddleboard weather now at Totana camper stop for a few days walking before returning to coast.
We also moved on. Now in Huercol-Olvera. Still a big tad windy, but safer. I was a bit nervous in that dry river bed. Heading back to the coast shortly.
