Well what can I say last Wednesday we arrived late at Cornish farm site. Up early on Thursday and in to Vanbitz met by Ash and Ian and after a little bit of banter we or should I say they got down to business. We were having a Growler alarm, 2lithium batteries and a victron inverter and a B2b and a bluetooth app battery charge thingy. We were asked to come back about 4.30 which we did after a thoroughly underwhelming visit to a large shopping place at Newton Abbot, compounded by the fact that SWMBO had forgotten the bloody mobility scooter key and as her knee is bone on bone she did well to walk a fair bit that day. Anyway I digress u p early Friday van back to workshop for final checks etc. Went into Taunton and found a shop mobility store and the Manager when told the sorry tale came to the car and with him he had bought an ice cream tub of odd keys he had 3rd key fitted the mobility scooter so SWMBO was happy.Anyway back to Vanbitz a thorough handover from Ian and we were back onto the campsite. Courteous staff and
Andrew the fitter made a super job of installing everything. Oh and I almost forgot I got to meet Eddie. Well done all of you and thank you once again for looking after us so well.
Would I recommend Vanbitz? Yes of course without hesitation.

Hi, I was at Cornish Farm last week, one of my favourite sites.
Sorry to have missed you.
Sadly I wasn’t invited up to the big house for drinks with the Boss Man, but I won’t hold that against him ! 😉. Fully endorse your comments about Vanbitz, a thoroughly professional team. 👍

Yorkshire lad was that your Bailey with the smart car on the trailer sorry to have missed you too

No sorry, wrong Bailey. No car or trailer attached to mine.
I was on the pitch next to that one !

Great place to pick blackberries .

You probably drank them out of house and home ( or should I say motorhome! )
Last time!🤣🤣🤣

One day, maybe one day we'll get a bad review of Vanbitz, but don't hold your breath. ;)
There is one, actually its on Fun reviews. Before we had "online" booking for Cornish Farm Touring Park we would ask our customers to pay" the campsite wardens for their overnight camping, then we would "knock it off" their invoice. It was done that way as you'd be surprised how many people would say "yes" when asked if their camping was "Free"

So we had a customer in (Mr Bad Review) to fit some solar equipment, he had an unrelated issue which we picked up on, but ran out of time to resolve

We related all of this to the customer and suggested that we could look at his van after the weekend.

Long and short of it from memory is that customer didn't pay for his camping, came to Van Bitz, where we diagnosed the problem but couldn't fix it as it was a 24 volt issue and we keep no 24v equipment in stock.

We made no additional charge for the additional inspection work, and deducted the additional nights camping fee's from the invoice for the solar panels fitted the previous week, nothing said by Mr Bad Review

It was only after Mr BR had left that the warden came down and said that he hadn't paid! Lyn my wife (who the wardens call chainsaw (one mistake and you could loose your legs) does our accounts and phoned Mr BR and nicely explained that as he "hadn't paid" his site fee's he wasn't entitled to a refund of said fee's and given that we'd carried out the additional diagnosis work FOC we'd like to rectify the mistake. I believe to make it sweeter we said it was "our mistake"

Mr BR said pompously that he would "Check his bank statement and "if" that was the case he would phone and make rectify the mistake!

About a Month later, Mr BR hadn't phoned so Lyn phoned again and grumpily and reluctantly he paid over the phone!

Now, to be honest, had we not tried to help the guy, and done so free of charge we may not of chased it, but he must of known that he hadn't paid for his additional nights on the campsite so to be given a refund for the additional nights on the campsite along with FOC diagnosis when we itemised his invoice, made us dig our heels in a bit

We got a bad review and his account is marked "No further payable work to ever be booked" So it does happen!

I wish all you satisfied customers would not keep trotting down to Taunton way and instead try to encourage Eddie to move more central, as it is 900 miles for us to Dover and, with limited time on each holiday, we would have to come back as soon as VanBitz fitted anything.

In addition our MH is fairly secure in our yard in Poland.

I do like to see all the complimentary reviews for what must be a great family company, which has also trained it 'pups' ;) :giggle:.

Okay, here you go………Two very nice gentleman tried to steal our van last week.

They obviously couldn’t read as they ignored the Vanbitz stickers, they chose to ignore the blue flashing neon lights, so ripped the barrel out of the drivers door, opened it and……...the Growler activated……my CCTV shows the buggers legging it.

So my complaint is, could you please teach people to read your stickers and tell them your blue neons lights are not dummies ……..like them. :( :(;)

Obviously the Vanbitz reputation does not go before them, something sadly lacking there!

Your post doesn’t surprise us at all.

We have a Strikeback alarm and a solar panel/B2B fitted by them.

When travelling Spain/France this year our solar panel stopped operating. A quick phone call to Vanbitz suggested a blown fuse. The only problem was that they had done such a good job of hiding everything we couldn’t find it.

We agreed that we would call in on our way home to South Wales, stay at Cornish Farm, and have it checked the following morning. On arrival we asked, nicely, could it be looked at that day so that we could be home that night.

All fixed, an explanation of where the failed fuse was located, an extra fuse provided, “just in case”, and we were home that night.

Customer service of the highest standard. By the way, the fact that we couldn’t locate the fuse just shows how everything is so well hidden when their work is completed.

Eddies team are just superb, workmanship second to none, so glad that I joined MHF before buying our new MH, as I would not have sussed out that they were the best in Van alarm/security systems.
We don't stay on Campsites very often, but its the only one where you feel you have to remove your shoes to enter the shower block, seriously!, Immaculately clean, with underfloor heating and piped music, you feel like you are staying in The Sheraton.:giggle:
Thanks Guys, even though I am not into Rugby or Footie, we will be back for the crack of meeting up again.

We were there earlier this week too having solar fitted. Our van already had the Strikeback growler fitted by previous owner & when we bought it a month ago Ash was so helpful in answering all our questions about it we wanted them to do the solar which is now doing a fab job off grid since we left on Thursday. Loved the site, really friendly helpful wardens and campers ( must all be satisfied funsters::bigsmile:).

We went off into Taunton in the van (as husband had injured his foot so we couldn’t walk there) and a couple of minutes after we armed the alarm (just enough time to get to end of car park with hopalong Hubbie😬) the alarm went off) It happened twice & after checking in the information booklet we couldn’t identify the problem so we phoned Vanbitz advising that error fault was 5 flashes of the lights. After a brief conversation they identified it was likely the Mifi unit we had left in the van inadvertently too close to one of the alarm fitments causing an interference. We removed it & all resolved. Who knew🤷🏻‍♀️, another lesson learned for us.

Tomorrow We are off to eddievanbitz for conversion over to 2 150Ah lithium’s with 60 amp B2B and a 50 amp mains charging supply.

Lead acid Vartas now 7 years old and have done well but will reduce weight and effectively double our battery capacity.

I did ask Ash about fantastic roof fans but evidently Dometic took them over and promptly discontinued them so we will continue with our 2 endless breeze fans!
