Any suggestions?
Turn the key and . . . . . Zilch
Not a single movement or sound from the starter motor.
The battery is good, new. When I turn the ignition key the headlights and the dashboard lights don't dim, but the lights on the things that are plugged into the dashboard auxillary plugs do.
Any ideas on what the problem might be?

Either the starter motor solenoid or an immobiliser stopping the supply to it.
See if you can get a test light or multimeter on the solenoid feed wire to test

I know nothing, but in the old days we used to wack the starter motor. If that didnt work, put it in third gear and rock it about. Difficult with a big thing like a Moho,I realise.
I’m sure those more in the know will be along to help. Good luck!

Yes,on reflection a tap would be better than a wack! Is it going yet?

For info. (just in case you don't know) the Immobiliser light is bottom left on the display.
I've had probs in the past by having another set of 'Smart' car keys with me when trying to start the van. If yours are in your pocket or near the steering wheel, remove them to place away.
Second, turn the key to show the lights on the display but wait.......... a few secs before giving the key the turn to get it started. Sometimes it takes a sec or two or three for immobiliser light to extinguish.
Good Luck
