Well for saying he got up at silly o'clock because of the coughing he did manage a breakfast at Wetherspoons and has hoovered all through the house without having to be asked - he is however, nodding on the settee at the moment

For many years I had a VW Camper named Martha.
I was a part of the Vanfest management team and committee member for 15 years. I dealt with club bookings from all over the world and I very quickly became known as "Martha". To this day it sticks. You should see the looks on people's faces when they hear me referred to as "Martha"!

Probably .. but we didn't have an option. The VW was an ex Oman Police bus, rescued from a scrap heap, with no Engine, gearbox or seats and only three wheels. I fitted an engine from an older split-screen bus, restored it mechanically and then my wife & I refurbished the interior to include beds and cabinets made from old furniture , cooker, sink made from an Omani cooking pot , portaloo etc. We then drove it back to UK, with our two children, via UAE, Qatar, Saudi, Jordan, Syria, Greece, Italy, France. We kept it another 10 years until the (then) three children got too big and we got a caravan. Actually, I still tended to call it "The Bus"
