But what is it like to look through? Can you see it's on there?

Is that one of those scuba diver tips for preventing a mask steaming up, along with smearing the glass with your very finest sputum? :D

Might try that!

Although the only window we had problems with is next to our heads whilst in bed.
We leave that one open!

Been doing that for years..
It doesn't stop condensation, just makes it easier to see through the window when it forms.
Sadly, it doesn't last for long. Once it builds up again the water runs down the window.

Another tip. Dry the window, cut a potato in half and rub across the surface then buff with a cloth.

Ventilation is the key to reducing condensation..

Been doing the same thing on motorbike helmet visor for years definitely helps.(y)

I use a pin-lock visor to avoid internal condensation/steaming up, with Pledge polish on the outside of the visor to encourage water droplets to run off .

We stayed at Castleton CC site for 5 days over New Year, and I was amazed at the number of vans dripping with condensation in the mornings, especially a Swift Bolero near the toilet block, nice van shame about the amount of water running down the windscreen, they all shared the same problem, using summer blinds in winter!

I know some people prefer internal ones for wilding but this was a CC site so no need for speedy exits!

We used the original external silver screeen's in our last van and they were the first purchase for our new van and guess what, not a single drop of condensation over the 5 days despite cooking etc

Last november I started a thread about condensation, and I learnt that an external silver screen is the answer to prevent condensation. I bought one from John Cross, where I received great advice and great service.

I'm sure I read that if the condensation isn't on the window it just goes/builds up somewhere else? At least if its on the window easy to see and clean up! I also just picked up from Cosco (Air Dry car-dehumidifier) bean bag things :) haven't tried it out yet, will do on our next trip.
