We like our Hymer Van 512 (neat and practical) but the distinguishing rotating panel in the bathroom has a flaw - the basin drainage duct comes apart in an inaccessible area. Hymer aren't interested (the idea that they support an after-sales market is a joke) and nor are dealers unless bought direct from them (too busy) so it's down to me to fix. I think I need to remove the basin to gain access however (what I think are) the fixing screws are weird (on purpose, I presume) and I've had no luck finding a screwdriver that will turn it. Any ideas?

Something like this will have the screwdriver bit you require:

Thanks Tony for replying so quickly. I've looked in the boxes on the website however, despite the wide range, nothing to match the screw-head or even close.

Not quite, unfortunately. A try-wing screwdriver might work except that (apart from the central hole) the slots on the Hymer look so very, very thin - 0.35mm wide.

It looks like a pop rivet, a load spreading aluminium type. The back of the rivet folds back to make a Y shape clamp. If you google avdel bulbex you will see the head design.

Thanks guys, I think you've nailed it (!) . On the downside, I'm thinking that if the basin is riveted on then I'm stuffed. It doesn't come off!

If the head diameter is around 8mm, then possibly a 4mm diameter Gesipa trifold.

The rivet is all aluminium, Gesipa technical services in Keighley would advise on drilling out,
