We have a Snipe Sat dish & sat box in our van but hubby wanted to watch the cricket whilst we were away so took out Sky Sat box from home, connected it up to the Snipe dish, connected to 6 year old Avtex TV by HDMI lead and away we went. Got all the channels we get at home including the Sports.
We were also able to watch any programs that we had recorded onto the box at home, on the tv in the van. I'm going to start to record a lot more to watch on our next trip in case we can't get a sat signal.
Thought this might be useful info for those that don't have a sat system - you don't need a dish to watch recorded programs just connect to your tv.

Sorry if this is already evident to some but I was told on here that one you unplug your receiver from your say dish you loose all recorded programs - not true!
