Finally.... we are taking our Frankia for its proving run on Wednesday!
we are going to Oxon park site at Shrewsbury, about 30 miles away.
It's a bit posh for me at 5 stars. I must admit i like the CL's but Dave is made up so HWMBO is happy!:roflmto:

It's next to the park and ride scheme to town and it has a good shop if we find things we need to fit in the van.
I was amazed. We can only get in for a few days. It is absolutely FULL over half term next week.
The stay- at- home- cation must have done wonders for English tourism this year!

    Hi Lucille
Why not go down the road towards Shrewsbury to the Wingfield arms http://www.thewingfieldarms.com/, site at the rear WC, showers and EHUs to put any site to shame, bus stop outside to town and a good restaurant on site.
I have used the rally field for club meetings and found them obliging. It may be an idea if you want to extend your stay.
:thumb: When in Shrewsbury don't forget the pies and sausages

Thanks ,everyone, getting excited in spite of the rain. Planning to practise so we can have a girls' weekend away.......

Will wave, Marie and we both wish you a fabulous safe journey to the South!

Pies and sausages, Bigfoot? Are they famous for pies? Where in Shrewsbury?

Thanks, Paul. Hope you and all the family all have a great time in Cornwall- plenty of surfing, seal sanctuary at Gweek, lobster at Port Issac. Ooooooh sounds nice.

May we wish everyone, if on half term or not, a great week- one extra hour in bed this weekend for a start!
    Lucille
