Burstner Elegance
Exp
Since 1977
We have had our Burstner elegance five years now. In that time we have had four winters away in France, Spain and Portugal and spent the summer months working in the UK.
We have stopped on 54 differant campsites inc European ones.
Aires in France, spain, and Portugal
Showgrounds
Peaples drives
Pub carparks
CL’s
Are we using it enough, I think so.
How often do you use yours.

We use ours most weekends all year round for days out as well as overnights. Stayed at Pubs/CL/CS/Campsites. Haven't used this one abroad with a vengeance yet as we have only had it since last August but looking forward to venturing over the water soon.

We have also spent the last four winters in france/spain/Portugal and this winter we're in morocco which has been the best weather of all, we work at home in the summer but use the van to visit family and the mmm shows and the brilliant retro festivals so I think we get our money's worth, best desicion we've ever made

This is our first one and we only got it just before Christmas.
So far we’ve had a trial weekend in Arbroath/Aberdeen in January where we found out about dumping water in freezing temps.
And we’re just back from and a sneaky couple of nights away in Feb half term at North Berwick where we eventually found out how to reset the Truma 4E boiler. And managed to squeeze teenage son into the 3rd bed!
Realistically, as we’re working full time, if we get a day or a night away ever month and a summer holiday in Europe, I’ll be happy.

I don’t actually count the days away but, 5 months in France, Andorra, and Spain , + several short trips away in the U.K.

12,500 miles in 12 months.

We think we are getting our money worth.

Between UK and Europe we were away 131 nights last year, this year 8 nights already ? have things booked to be away in, March, April, May, June, July (France) and August to Outer Hebridies.
Will also try to fit in some Moho shows too.
Bought it to be used, so not having it sit doing sweet FA at back of the house !
Hope all enjoy their moho's this year, drive safe and enjoy to all on here.

Using ours as I type. Outside our bungelow while our builder does his business. Likely to be here for another 3 weeks - not complaining as we are so cosy.

When I worked , we used it 42 w/ends & 4 weeks for main hols, but now retired 2 x 4 week hols to France plus several w/ends locally , not as much as we would like , due to being a carer for 89 year old disabled aunt , we have another carer & an agency , but I'm on call 24/7 if needed. Always organise cover when we are away AT A COST!

Not often enough ,to be honest .And thinking of downsizing to PVC so as get about more often ,solo.

Nowhere near enough. This working lark gets right in the way, plus restricted to school holidays :(

Usually 3 or 4 weeks away in the year, plus a couple of weekends.

Roll on retirement, shame it's at least 8-and-a-half years away - quite possibly a few more!

Used to use ours regularly
However, due to health issues and looking after a dear friend, we've only used it twice in the past 15 months.

Same as me really .... I always thought I’d retire at 60 but that has become 67 which is too far away to contemplate.
I certainly need to do another 7 years after this year to see my son through uni ... then I might just retire (at 60) ... to be honest I think having the stamina to teach at 67 might be my challenge ...

Really interesting how many peaple want to use them more but can’t due to commitments and others use them all the time, some only a few days a year. Happy travels whenever you use it. (y)

Tend to put ours away in November and get it out in March. Don’t see the point in sitting in it for 16 hours of darkness during the winter when we can be tucked up in our lovely house with a log burner going.

As an aside was in the car park in Helmsley yesterday and in the bit at the back where they allow MHs to overnight there were 11 vans parked up. Brilliant, if only more councils were so accomadating.

When we were working & living in a house ours got used at least twice a month. Trouble is with a house & garden there is a lot of maintenance to be done & when you’re working that takes away the time you could be out in the MoHo!
Now it’s used every day!!!
