Mooching on Ebay for some bits for our bikes I came across the below which seem a good way to carry stuff but doesn't attach to the bike so it can be easily taken with you without pratting around taking off fiddly straps/clips, just a couple of velcro straps. If no cross bar it could be put across the centre of the handlebars:

It always makes me wary when the spelling is wrong, despite the number of typos I make

It's not trying to kid anyone that it's anything but coming from China.
On eBay, paid by Paypal - I think my £1.78 is safe...

...but how do they do it for the price?
Sending an up to 10gram letter, economy, to China is 90p !!!

PS Thanks @Minxy Girl

Looks to be £50.99 p and p now..

Don't want to be cynical, but I doubt at the previous p and p included price, I doubt you'll see them.

Not sure why they run such scams, other than to collect your data and maybe credit card/pay pal details, address and maybe eBay ID for "harvesting"

@Abacist Id keep a weather eye out for unusual transactions or activity on your accounts...(y)

Huh?
Still £1.78 for the Red one

There are several other listings by other sellers for very similar items, at or around the same price.
I see nothing that smells scam - it might be a crap bag, it might take an age to get here or it might be lost in the post... but I think it's a pukka listing.

On and off for many years.
Thank you for that @Minxy Girl . More essential stuff I don't need ordered! Not the same as you linked to but a bag that will go on the handle bars for my phone as there is an app for cycling some routes in Eire with maps. I do need to make sure the app is for use offline though :)

You're right @Langtoftlad , I misread the thing as the £50.99 is for a different form of posting.

While I accept what you say to a point, I don't see how they can ship these for the price quoted, let alone produce the goods. They will also have fees to pay to PayPal and eBay...

Still, you pay your money and take your choice. My choice is to leave well alone, but hope my fears are unfounded for all those who are a bit less risk averse than me!

Indeed - how do they do it?
... but I've bought loads of eBay Chinese tat over the years for pennies and it all seems to arrive, and is of fair quality for the price.

Best deal was for a 1p HDMI lead, yup just one penny!
Mind you, the postage was an extortionate £1.29 :D2.
Still got it - still works .

not so newbie anymore - since 2016
Bought one similar a couple of years ago for around £3 from eBay. . Within a week of having bought it I was under instructions to buy a second one and fit it on Mrs Cornish Boy's bike

Both are still going strong and get used every time we use the bikes for keys, pennies for ice cream, sun cream, phone, etc, etc

The only thing I noticed was that the velcro straps under the belly of the bag would foul the brake cables on my mountain bike if fully tightened. I quickly found out that because they are like saddle bags and hang either side of the crossbar I have never needed to pull them tight so it hasn't been a problem. When I fitted it to my road bike it was perfect as the cables are all internal to the carbon frame.

You in Spain ? Postage is £50-99 to here.
My wife probably buys 2 dozen items of chinese tat per week with negligible p&P & everything arrives. All usually shipped to me here in Spain.

You're right @Langtoftlad , I misread the thing as the £50.99 is for a different form of posting.

No one can understand how they do it but they do.
A change I have recently noticed is that regardless of who you buy it from it now appears to be shipped in to a Madrid holding centre & reposted from there. That's for Spanish buyers obviously.
Makes me wonder if they all send it to some shipping centre in China that then ships it in bulk. Additionally it is all air freighted.

As an aside on the way to Alicante airport is a small town just off the Autovia called " Crevillente" It houses the biggest collection of Chinese wholesalers that I have ever seen. Every industrial unit specialises in something different. The whole industrial estate, along with the main roads in, is lined with wholesalers of which 98% are chinese & the others are Moroccan. There is only a petrol station & tyre supplier that is Spanish.:D2
The prices of stuff in these wholesalers is mindbogglingly low. Some there is a minimum spend of 50€ but others have no minimum. There is nothing I can honestly think of that cannot be bought there.

Ok for on the bike but I could imagine it would be awkward to carry around ,it could really do with a handle or strap to be any good as a bag

... what do you want for so little money ... get your butler to carry it for you!

But I have loads and loads of bag straps that would just clip on.
Exactly what I would do too!

The wife bought something similar last year, the one thing I couldn't work out with it was, if it rained, it filled with water, but the water didn't drain out, so the material was waterproof, but the bag wasn't (n)
