I am messing around with my guitar and music in general..

I have a pair of Wharfdale speakers and I was wondering would it be possible to link them to my laptop via a USB Amp? If such a device exists..

Not sure what that would give you over and above just using a mic and Goldwave or similar on the laptop.

I think I may have confused everyone..
I have a pair of speakers which are currently doing very little, I was hoping to link them to my PC/Laptop just to use as speakers.. I cant connect them directly to the laptop, thats where I was going...

I am playing with audacity at the moment,,,

headphone out --> some form of power amplifier --> speakers is all I can think off.

Or move to 21st century and buy USB/bluetooth speaker/s.

[ corrected: mic out indeed !! ]

The laptop headphone output assuming it has one would connect to a conventional amp.

Oh, I see (said the blind man) ;)

IF the speakers are powered then you can probably get a plug converter / cable jack to mini jack or similar and forget the laptop. Hard to imagine any way of using the laptop as the amplifier.

Dont waste you time, Bluetooth is so cheap now and the quality is excellent. Chuck the wired speakers out I doubt anyone would want them.
