The motorhome will be available from mid-September after we use it in August and September of this year. We would be happy to meet a buyer in Los Angeles for an ownership transfer a few days before we fly out from LAX on 20 September.

The USA is often described as RV paradise. It is a large, diverse country with majestic scenery, an interesting history and friendly, polite people. This, coupled with the ability to drive into Canada and Mexico adds to the adventure that many Aussie and UK motorhomers have experienced and enjoyed.

Why are we selling this motorhome?

Over the last 6 years we have travelled through a good area of USA, and parts of Canada and Mexico. We have thoroughly enjoyed this experience but it is now time for us to move onto another chapter. Two years ago we bought a motorhome to explore all that Europe has to offer and we plan to motorhome for about half a year in Australia and half a year in Europe for the foreseeable future.

Description as to condition - what's good ... ;-)
  • Vehicle is easy to drive with automatic column shift transmission coupled with a good sized motor it has no trouble keeping up with traffic at US highway speeds.
  • Motorhome is basically all ready for some-one else to take over and jump in and head off to explore what-ever parts of North America that take your fancy.
  • We had a new engine water pump and hoses installed in December 2018
  • The solar panel and controller was new in December 2018
  • New gas furnace blower fan installed in January 2019
  • Transfer of title can be arranged and we can provide comments and links to as to how we went about registering and insuring the vehicle.
  • We have the vehicle owned and registered in Montana to a Limited Liability Company (Ozee LLC) that we specifically formed for ownership purpose. The company owns the vehicle and we own the company. The is a relatively easy and inexpensive exercise and suits non-US citizens who wish to own and register RVs in USA. See my notes elsewhere at Broken Link Removed and also check out https://www.49dollarmontanaregisteredagent.com
  • This motorhome was previously owned by an Aussie couple (Campervan and Motorhome Club members) who also bought it from another Aussie couple (also CMCA members) so being Aussies we felt comfortable about the purchase.
  • The vehicle is for sale at a low price which should compare very favourably to renting a vehicle for an extended period.
What's not so good ... :-(
  • The vehicle is not new - it is a 1997 model and obviously has all the hallmarks of a vehicle of this vintage and there cannot be any guarantee as to future reliability.
  • Cosmetic the exterior paintwork has faded and the decals have hairline cracks from storage in the Arizona and California sun

Sale Price

  • The vehicle is for sale as is including a clear title of ownership for £3,900 UK.
  • This price includes all the kitchen ware, bedding and outdoor table and chairs as well as the almost new high quality folding 100 watt solar panel and waterproof controller.
  • Price includes various tools including new spanners and sockets and brand new (unopened) battery power drill.

Potential insurance and storage costs ...
  • We pay $68 USD (approx £54) per month for a 30' outdoor storage site at a secure CubeSmart facility in Riverside, California
  • We pay about $800 USD (approx £635 UK) for comprehensive insurance per year which includes third-party liability and breakdown insurance.
  • We pay zero (yes zilch, nothing etc) per year for annual registration in Montana as the vehicle is older than ten years and we paid a once-off cost of about $265 USD for lifetime or perpetual registration.
You can click here to view more photos of the motorhome and the lifestyle we have enjoyed in it.

Note: The vehicle is also advertised on an Australian motorhome forum.

Now that is a good advert. Wrong timing for us, but certainly ideal for somebody else hoping to tour the USA
