Friends of ours are ready to set off for the Stoneleigh show and have electric problems.

Van has been on hook up over night.

Started engine, no 12volt showing

Unplugged from mains and no engine running still no 12 volt showing.

Have they checked the fuses?

Fuse from leisure battery would be my first thing to check.

As above check around the engine battery for the cable, fuse & relay that charges the leisure battery, we will be there later & I always carry tools.

Check all battery connections are tight. Otherwise it is quite likely a cell has failed in the battery which will make the whole battery US.

There is a fuse in the van fuse box if it is a fiat top row I think.

Thanks everybody for your suggestions. Problem sorted the 30 amp fuse had partly disintegrated which was behind the batteries and could not be seen , fused replaced and working well. Friends have just arrived safe and sound.
