Not having been before, is it worth taking a scooter or bikes? Or is everything within walking distance? Tia.

Understand that camping area is just just a short walk (over the bridge) from the town but not been before.

Depending on where you are parked, the town is indeed just over the bridge. There is a small Co-op supermarket, some restaurants, lots of pubs and a chip shop (where the queue stretches around several blocks) all within a 10 minute walk :)

We will be arriving about mid afternoon Thursday. Have not been to the festival before and will look out for flags etc. Would appreciate any advise on which part of the field to look for MHF.

Hope to see you all there :hi: If we don't manage to be pitched near each other then maybe walk around & look out for Fun signs & stickers to say hello.

Right we are here & Grahame the lovely festival chairman has agreed for Funsters to have first dibs on the smaller field on the right! :Grin:It isn't exclusively ours but they will only pitch others in it once the huge main field is full. Look out for us with our Fun badges - don't know if we will be able to pitch you up but we can point you in the right direction. As you drive into the main field stay on the track then take the exit turning between the first & second trees on the right then don't take the pedestrian entrance next to our motorhome but carry on the track then the gateway to the field is on the right.

It isn't as flat as the main field but you may have friendly Funsters around you & not far through pedestrian entry point to water, waste & good Portaloos if wanted. Showers are a short level walk away. Will understand if some prefer to be in the main field but would be great if a few do join us & maybe make a proper meet possible for next year. We will be working as part of the volunteer team on Thursday & Friday but around more after that. Can't get internet on the campsite so messaging from the town so going offline now but hope some see this.

That wouldn't be the little field that bares a passing resemblance to a wine bottle cork would it ? We will happily camp in the smaller field.

We turned off the main track, but got confused about where the actual field entrance was, so on the main field. will try and make it over to see you all sometime over the weekend. Assuming we are sober and it ain't still pouring down !

Lovely to chat to the band today on the way to town before the heavens opened. Had a few hours at the Plough listening to Sicknote Steve - Dad found a sheltered spot.
Now recovering from Old Rosie listening to the rain on the roof.

How easy is it to fill up with water there?
That's ok. I'm here now, and filling up with water fairly quickly.
We watched some of Sicknote Steve, met up with some old friends, planned to venture out this evening to watch another couple of acts, decided against it.
The beat of rain on the roof is quite rhymical!

What a fabulous weekend! (Apart from the weather, which tried but failed, to dampen spirits:() Bands everywhere playing great music - just wander over to whichever you want to listen to. We (Bridgnorth Ukulele Band) performed three gigs which all recieved a magnificent response from the crowds. We met some great people and had a 'bostin' time. Thank you all.
