Uprating Weight checklist (1 Viewer)

I appreciate this has been covered extensively recently but I have just received my paperwork from John Ruffles ( J R Consultancy) and am about to send it off to DVLA and thought a last minute check may be in order...

If I understand it from previous threads I need to .....

(a) get a good COPY of John Ruffles covering letter,
(b) get a good COPY of the new Design Weight Certificate he sent
(c) on form V5C, insert new weight in box 22 in section 7 (New Revenue Weight) and sign & date section 8.
(d) Send all above to DVLA, Swansea, SA99 1BA by recorded delivery

Have I missed anything? I would appreciate any comment, especially from anyone who has gone through the process recently.
The Motorhome is currently taxed until 31 July 2017

Thats exactly what i have done (apart from the recorded delivery) Please see note about my legendary tight fistedness.

I dont know what they are going to do with the tax. Possible rebate ?

When you get your V5C back you need to cancel the existing tax and then re-tax at the correct rate ... if they are on the ball they may automatically alter your tax band and refund you automatically ... but don't hold your breath!

You can do a covering letter asking them to ensure they alter both the below as sometimes they forget one of them:

• [Y] Revenue weight
• F.1 Max Permissible Mass
