having done the recent conversion from Dinette to L shaped lounge, I need to get the upholstery sorted out to fit. I have all the material and foam in the 3 existing bases and rear cushions, just need it all taken apart and put together as an L shape. Its just the labor really.

Regal have quoted about £120 which i thought was fantastic:Smile:
    - but have to book 6 weeks in advance:Sad:

I was hoping to get it done much sooner - like when were out and about between Chester and Peterborough .....patience isn't my strong point!

Anyone have any ideas of an upholsterer to do the job in or around those areas or anywhere in between - it'll only need a short pit-stop???
I'll take the van to them - we are FT remember!!!

We used Careavan in Birmingham. We were pleased with the job and I think they had people staying on the premises whilst they finished.

We are at CC Chapel Lane at the moment for Tappers to change some of our upholstery over the next couple of days.

They did a fantastic job on our son's camper. If you see them at a show ask to see the before and after photos of Rob from Middlesbrough's van

I would be interested in your experience of Tappers. We shall probably need the swivel seats recovered at some point.

    Hi Dave
I have had my van done by Careavan
I have seen the work of Tappers but would now only consider Regal. They have the biggest selection of material (check them out) and the best professional equipment, unbelievably they complete the whole van in a day and if you get a chance to see work done by them, I truly think they are at present the best.
If so, why didn't I use them? I asked for a quote from their rep at a motorhome show, next day I checked it out and he gave me a different price... I took umbridge and decided I would not use them.
My face looks odd without a nose!

    Alan

Alan - the only reason was time! Regal couldn't do it for at least 6 weeks and I didn't want to wait!
Also - wanted it done somewhere on the Chester Peterborough route and as we are staying at the atherstone stables site just north of Brum in between it was well located for a morning stopover!
And of course got a couple of good reports on here - the chaps on the phone were very friendly and helpfull - that scores high in my books:thumb:

The results will hopefully available to view at my layout change warming party at Peterborough :thumb:

Richard from Tappers collected our cab seats and side bench cushions this morning, confirmed what we wanted and brought them back this evening. The dinette cushions will be collected tomorrow morning and returned in the evening.

Very pleased with the job so far.

tappers are a smaller company than most and you get that family feeling with them i doubt u will have any problems with them and they are normally cheaper than the others

Tappers did our whole van out in leather, brilliant job. They also arranged a chap to come and do the vinyl floor covering on site (Chapel Lane again)
