Upgrading to XP (1 Viewer)

I run XP without SP3 and with Kasperksy AV but that's only for info what I would like to know is...

Am I the only one that regularly re formats the hard drive and reinstall every thing about 2 or 3 time a year?

May be I should do a poll!

I will only do a Windoze reformat as a last resort ... when all else has failed..

The last time it took me nearly two days just to get the updates done and another three or four to get all the software and my files back ..

The benefits of course are a nice fresh install, hard drive cleaned out of all the junk files and reg keys and it's nicely reformatted, the system works so much faster afterwards.

On the Mac... about once a year , although it's not really required, I only do it to defrag the hard drive.
