Hi looking to upgrade from an old Autohome. Wanted a 6 berth but the ones we've seen are enormous! So now looking at 5 berths which aren't very different to what we have except more modern and more expensive! Any recommendations for either would be great. Thank you

Hi and welcome

I'd guess that you won't get a 6 berth less than 7 meters and with a large overcab.

Might be useful to say how old the old one is. We started with a Chausson flash 3 6 berths fairly compact.

We have a 5 berth hymer 2003.. Over cab great for storage or grandchildren penthouse! Only 1 coming at present, dinette becomes double bed
good length for 2 adults also can extend out! Opposite has long bench also can be widened, space suits us, good luck with your search.

By enormous what size motorhome are you referring to and what is your ideal?

Do you really need to change it? Why? Sometimes it’s “better the devil you know”. Some of the older vans are built better than the newer ones. Just a thought… :giggle:

Welcome from Ciren! (y)
As Podney asks, why are you changing….is the Autohome too small, or what……?

Something like the flash 3 we had might suit. Heres a link to a company that hire one out just to give you an idea what they're like.

You'd be as well looking on Autotrader Motorhomes because for one, you're going to run out of posts on here unless you join and for two, it's like looking for a needle in a haystack with other members making blind suggestions.
My tip to you is to base your search on which internal layout along with number of berths most suits your needs.
The length of the motorhome is not a big deal unless having an extra 3.5 feet means you can't fit it on your drive, between your ideal 6.5m and the masses available around 7.5m.
