I have just received my weight upgrade plate today and fitted it to the van. I started the upgrade process with Van Weight Engineering expecting to get to 3850kg, but Dee at VWE was able to actually get me to 4090KG in total, [ 1850 FA + 2240 BA ] by going for some air ride bags and 225/70 high load tyres. Brilliant, we should now be all set for touring without the worry of being illegal on the rear axle, and more comfortable ride to boot.

Just sent my enquiry off today. I was advised previously by SV Tech I could only go up to 3850kg without work on the front suspension.

Just heard back from VWE. I can take the MAM to 4350kg which would give a payload of 1400kg . Doubt Ill ever need that much.

Interesting as SV Tech only gave us 3850 and other identical vehicles have got 4250.

Brilliant,better to be comfortable under your allowance, than running in excess of your legal limit.
