Had an email about a week ago telling me that a new map is available. So I'm now updating it. It's alway a bit scary, been going about 45 minutes and still nearly 2 hours to go. I'm hoping it all goes well. I am working this afternoon and want to use it to get to the calls.why does it take so long? I'm trying to remember if I can still read a map, (n) and do I have a map o_O

Because it's a large amount of data to download. Ours used to take 4+ hours, I'd leave it to it overnight.

If you were using the same computer to do the update as you were using to post on here, in effect you would be slowing down the update process.

If you were using another device like phone or tablet for a MH fun, then I would download a copy of google U.K. maps to that device so you always have a backup satnav if you rely on one.

I'd leave it to it overnight.

Potential problem with that is mine (TomTom Go Camper) tends to stop every now and then if it’s a big download - get a message “xxxxx is out of range” xxxx being my wireless ID. This happens even though the satnav is a few feet away from the router. Turning the satnav off and on again fixes the problem and luckily the download continues from where it stopped.
