Thanks for the reply's recently regarding the damp found by Marquis at Plymouth. I cured the leak, bought a de-humidifier, banged some heat in.........Bobs your uncle. A tiny patch left and its down to 24%. So much for nearly £4000 to repair! So i'm now booking for France and wondered if anyone would be kind enough to pass onto me a discount code.

Although you may have repaired the leak it does not sound like you have stripped the wallboard off and replaced any rotten timbers.
