Dear alll,

Having spent two days in Amsterdam we are contemplating doing a one night unplanned stopover at Reisemobilhafen in Cologne. However, Camperstop info tells me that it is or it’s route falls within the green zone. My van is 20 years old and is Euro 2. This I assume is a problem!

There is a bit of text that says you can avoid going through the zone. I amabit confused about this and wondered whether anyone has any experience of this?

Thank you for your help.

We had a similar issue last week in Bremen. Website showed the route in allegedly avoiding the green zone. I emailed the site and got the reply that there is a "Transit" route through the zone.

I have no idea if it is true but it involved driving through the green zone so we didn't bother.

Also from what people are telling me anything other than Euro 4 is not worth having.

Yes, it's possible to access the Cologne stellplatz avoiding the emission control zone - you need to approach from the north along the west bank of the river.
