Unlocked vodaphone mifi (1 Viewer)

Got it unlocked, anyone know how to set it up for a three sim please. (Binned my vodaphone sim)

There's a bit more than that , but it is simple to someone who knows, there some on here who know , they sorted it for me, it's just putting the right words in boxes.

Depends what make of mifi, you will have to connect to the homepage, mine starts with 192 then settings and put in the correct APN , default settings for password etc are admin and admin.

First step find out the make of the mifi and try and connect to the homepage.

It is a huwai (spelling) i unlocked it with a number from internet then gave it to a friend to use with 3 sim.
She needs an a, b, c instruction to get it working.
She is in the North of Scotland and i am in France!

You'll need to change the APN in the device settings.

Name: 3

1. Name: 3.
2. APN: three.co.uk.
3. Username: None.
4. Password: None

Getting to the device settings varies depending on the particular device but will be the same as how you did it when it was locked to Vodafone.

Fairly sure that the APN for 3 is 3internet but not using it at the moment, got a NOS sim in as am in Portugal for a while, on mine the username etc where admin and admin unless someone changed the password.

There are at least two APNs for Three, both will work but sometimes one works better than the other depending on the signal strength ... do a google for Three APNs and you should find a list of them.

Have used this to unlock dongles and mifi's
free d/l. Just follow instructions .
Pop in sim required it works
mifi settings 192.168.1.1 admin admin ...normally
maybe helpful

It depends on the MIFI, some can work immediately, some need tweaking.

OK. But the medication seems to be kicking in now!
Just suddenly remembered that instead of getting mifi unlocked I "bought" a new unit in the Carphone Warehouse deal that you could buy and cancel contract and effectively get the unit for free!
Wonder if I increased the dosage I could remember where I parked the car?
Who am I again?
