Hello, I have recently bought a causson flash 10 and there is a small black switch on the right hand side as you enter the side door. It has a red led which lights when switched on. I have no idea what it is for as nothing seems to happen when it is switched on. Anybody know what it is?

Our old van had a similar switch( but no red light) which was a master switch for all the internal lights.

When we sell our van, I am definitely going to install a dummy switch marked "not to be used" or similar. Then again, rather than a dummy, might be more amusing to get it to actually do something, like set off the alarm. Any ideas?

We have the same on ours that you switch off if you want to arm the vanbitz strikeback growler whilst people are inside, also using the correct button sequence

As Michelle above. Ours has a master switch. Handy in that you can set which lights you want when you get back to van.

Ours has a switch that you switch for the bike loop on our vanbitz strike back alarm, has you motorhome got one or had one fitted. 🤔 Bob.

Do you have an alarm system? Ours has a small black button with a red led which is used to deactivate the internal sensors when setting the alarm when you are in the van.

We have a flash 10 and that switch is aftermarket so as others have said maybe an alarm or fridge fan or whatever. If you lift the seat you should be able to see where the wires on the back go it should help.
Hope you enjoy the MH we've had ours from new 6 1/2 years ago never expected to keep it this long but not seen anything to tempt us to swap we like the smallish size but with lots of space and good payload.

Personally, I would label it "Patio Extension" and wire it in parallel with the step switch :roflmto:

We have a ‘’mystery’’ switch in our Swift Kontiki, too - turns out it is to switch active temp sensor between rear lounge and dinette area......

I have a wiring diagram for my Autotrail that shows all the switches and 'what they do'. You could always try flicking it out and tracing where the wires actually end up. I had a huge 'loom' behind my drivers seat that did 'nothing' to anything PRESENT in MoHo (Prob some Audio thing)...so ripped the lot out!

On aserious note . . . . Does your MH have a Tracker installed. I had the same experience and although a tracker is (maybe) installed if it is not active - subscription paid - the switch will still operate and nothing appears to happen!!
