Hi All
Am trying to help a neighbour replace a Reich twin pump on a Hymer, and I cannot fathom how to undo these uniquick pipe connectors. There's a C - Washer that seems to come out but still unable to disconnect. Can anyone advise please ? TIA John

Push the pipe into the connector then hold in the collar and the pipe should just pull out,

The white bit pushes into the blue bit along with the pipe.
Hold the white bit in firmly while pulling the pipe out.
They can be tight if the internal jaws have bitten deeply into the pipe.

Me again.
Well that bit worked, thank you for your help.
The new pump is now properly installed and all connected up.
It whirrs nicely but not pumping water.
I've filled the tank enough to cover the pump, thinking it needs priming, but still no flow.

I don't have a hymer myself, can anyone give me a tip to get this working for her please ?

Thanks
John

Brian, I reconnected the colours as per the original, so I assume that is right.

Can I suggest, Think logically what did you do?, then retrace the steps. These pumps are generally self priming and it is unusual for them not to pick up. If the steps advised by other posters do not work you may ultimately have the "rogue" pump. You could try filling the tank to give it a greater "head" to pick up on?.

Well it's sorted and working now, thank you for all the replies.
The new pump came from the supplier with the linkage containing the one-way valve already connected. It was the wrong way round .
Easy to switch it the right way and all now working as it should.

Cheers all.
John.
