When wintering in Norway found that we had to ditch butane as that froze up, but never had any freezing issues with propane and just carted the bottle along to a filling station and watched them do the rest......all done by weight on scales connected to a stop valve in the supply,all seemed a bit crude but it worked!.....The gas bottle locker holds a Honda 2kva genny with a tad of space to spare,and as the spare now sits ahead of the engine it should balance the weight of the gas cylinder aft of the back axle......well that's the plan anyway !..

Yes to ensure correct fill level the tank air box must point to about 20 past the hour when the van is on level ground. The worst that can happen is the 80% shut off will shut off sooner.

And the level gauge is in-accurate.

you cant use the doughnut shaped tanks for vapour take of so no good for motorhome appliances

Yep I know......that's why I said I had considered one for my car but discounted it on costing grounds. They are designed as a doughnut so as to fit where the spare used to live.
