I was looking under my van and noticed what looks like 2bottle cleaners with pipes coming out of it
looks like it is made of alloy. Could it be some kind of radiator (it is in the middle of the van).

Sorry but having problem downloading a photo.
 
Hi, could be a transmission oil cooler, or maybe something to do with aircon,(if fitted)

it could be a diesel cooler... mine is around middle just behind the diesel tank.

its middle as in side to side and middle between axles

That's the mangle.
it does rather look like one :D now you come to mention it...
cant afford the later version so don't know what it looks like.. you will have to post a picture:LOL:

Lol... It a transit if I remember correctly...
While I'm here have you done the rear discs on yours assuming yours is rear disc...? ?

Not needed yet, but it looks like calipers off, half shafts out and a hub off job to me!

thanks Jon, got the bits today and had a look, it appears to be as you say and the abs ring has to come off to access the bolts that hold disc and hub together ... heard it can be a pig ,that's why I asked if you had done it..
still need a 65mm socket, when I get that ill have a go..
